Do MT 235/60R15 Street Radials fit 6" rims or do I need 7" rims?

Also what do you'all use to stop rubber caking over the back body panels at the drags? - its a b-gger to get off devil yellow paint

I use 7" rims and they're fine. Don't know about 6".

Spray your Rear bumper and inner guards with tyre shine before running. The rubber just wipes off that way :burnout:

I believe they fit, and I believe some have used them on 6 inch rims without issues, but the recommended minimum width is 7 inches.

7 inch interceptors can be purchased quite cheaply from people such as NVU (forum sponsor) and for that small investment I personally wouldn't risk it.

Thanks - it looks like 7" are the go

Pity I just bought a pair of 6" and spend a few hours today cleaning them and repainting them

Thanks for the tip on the tyre shine - any brand or should I just rock up to a auto shop and ask for it

Careful which one... read on the back under warning/caution... most are unsafe for use on painted surfaces.

Kittens Spray on tyre rejuvinator is safe on paint. Spray quite a bit on -ie more than 1 coat b4 you run at the drags, and then a high pressure hose at your local drive in self car wash will just blast/slide it away.

Wouldnt try wiping as then it could make a murky mess. I thought Phantom Mica was a tough colour to keep clean, id hate to imagine cleaning rubber off devil yellow.

dont bother with tyre shine use Mr Sheen its a oven cleaning spray and the rubber just washes of with water (GARDEN HOSE) and doesnt damage the paint. and also comes in different scents.:woohoo:
