have a vx berlin waggon anyone put a uhf radio in their car want to keep the inside neat any help would be apprieciated
Hi Kev,
I only use mine on long trips so I sit it on the front left seat. A mate jams his between the left passenger seat and the console but this would scratch up the console I think.
I made a bracket that clips over a rear window to hold the aerial. DSE sells aerials that can be stuck to a window.
I can't think of too many good locations suitable for permanently locating the UHF radio close to the driver. Mounting under a seat might work but it's then hard to change volume and it might be hard to hear. Channels selection is pretty much set and forget - channel 40 for most of the eastern sea board.

I suggest you get a remote head unit and mount it in the space in front of the gear shift and below the fold-down storage tray in the front console. I used a GME 3600 and an on-glass aerial. I can send a pic if you like. Good luck.

Yes, the remote heads are good, but the GME TX3200 are AOK too.
