Something is definitely wrong. Have you checked the hose that goes from the engine to the brake booster?

I'd get it checked ASAP by a competent brake shop. You don't want to muck around with it at all. No brakes = bad news.

Regards and good luck,

Sounds like the master cylinder. If the booster goes then the brakes will still work, the pedal will just be extremely hard.

When my master cylinder died, pushing the pedal to the floor was about the equivalent to sticking my foot out onto the road.

Just take it to a mechanic or something, they'll tell you in about 5 seconds what's wrong with it.

went into a mechanics place today didnt wanna risk drivin the car and forking out a tow truck he explained it to be either the master cylinder just replace it dont bother with a seal kit or the other problem wat would be a cheap fix which he reckons it may be as the situation is intermitant is the fluid has boiled up over heavy higher speed braking is air has gotten in the system and simply needs bleeding will give this one a try and pray its ok ;)

How long is it since it hard a brake fluid change? If it has been a few years the brake fluid may contain moisture which is boiling and you are loseing the pedal due to the boiling but once it cools the pedal would appear normal again. I have seen this happen in cars that have neglected their brake fluid maintenance. Would be more frequent after a few hard brake applications or if towing and using the brakes a lot. Maybe try a complete brake fluid change rather than just a quick bleed.
