hey peoples just wondering whether the coupe 4 is gone now due to the new regulations that take the 5.7lt of the market in australia, was just looking at the hsv web site, and didnt say anything about this, i gather it wouldnt be around anymore unless they have slyly put in the 6.0lt heres hoping, any info would be great

cheers maccas

No 6 litre, I can guarantee that. Any that are still around would be 2005 builds so they are OK.

Some months back I asked HSV how many had been built, they said they built 135 and weren't doing them any more ... not saying this is 100% fact, but it does kinda make sense.

Geoff from JHP has a silver one with a Harrop supercharger, wonder if it's the same one ?? Long way from home if it is.

A Holden Dealer in Perth was advertising a Coupe 4 with what the advert said was that it had a 6 litre...thought it was a bit odd...for the grand price of about 79500 or thereabouts..

Hi,

Some of the adds the Dealers in Perth place in the Newspaper seriously makes me think these guys are drug dealers, not car dealers. "VZ R8 Clubsports with high performance 18" wheels" and no it wasn't a DTS R8, it goes on and on.
I read the adds a fair bit over here (I need a life) and sometimes the office boy stuffs up big time.
I saw the Coupe 4/ LS2 add.... I bet!
Would have made a fantastic car, no extractor clearance problems with an LS2. I wonder why HSV never installed an LS2......Torque maybe, they'll never say!
Anyway, my point is, never believe what a Dealer says, even if it's in print.

Hmmm, that dealers ad maybe, but a fair bit of a generalisation otherwise......

Yep, for sure I would have been playing the Beach Boys, & the track would have been "Still Cruisin after all of these years", or maybe "Little Deuce Coupe", or with relevance to some of you stroker addicts "409" may be more appropriate! The Beach Boys certainly had some great "car" songs.
Cheers, Pickles.
