Hey all this is my ride, a 1997 HSV enhanced VS SS. Manual.
Has head work which can flow about 600hp.
K And N Panel filter
Bigger throttle body.
Exstractors into a twin system with one cat and one muffler.
3.9 diff gears.
puts out 177RWKW.

Nice car, very clean... Are you going to tint the windows or leave as is? I wreckon tint would finish it off nicely.

What exactly did HSV do to the motor? Do they give u a certificate of some sort?

Love those wheels. I think they are the same as the ones in the Powertorque showroom for sale.

my brother had a white hsv enhanced vr ss... i think it had to be done from new.... as far as i know....they got the clubsport motor etc.... they get a hsv compliance plate with build number and the usual...

not a bad car at all :driving:

Very Schmick.

Tint the Windows(definitely) and clear tail lights(if possible) would make it stand out from the crowd a little more, Just my thoughts.

The enhanced vehicles got the 185i and a build plate.

What exactly did HSV do to the motor? Do they give u a certificate of some sort?Have a search, i posted this up a coupla yrs ago. From memory its a different tune (hence 185kw), different extractors, CAI & addition of a Knock Sensor.

I will leave the windows how they are. Not to keen on the clear tail lights. rather spend the money on performance parts.

you still call it HSV enhanced when u ripped off the things they changed over anyway for a diddly squat 20kw increase sounds like you have actually got power coming out now - are u allowed to drive that on your Ps? I like the wheels too

yeah that's right. There was a little badge on the glove box too. Mine was a Botanica Mica VS and went ok, could throw it around surprisingly well for a sedan, kw numbers not big but also a lot less weight than the later models.

when i was a P plater i wish i had something that hot...all i had was a 78 celica 2 door coupe with a stuck automatic choke which would allow the car to get to 70km/h (changing auto gears and all) without touching the accelerator....my, have times changed

Good to see a nice looking VS, most of the ones I have seen lately are pretty thrashed out. I used to dream about those cars when I was on my P's, Way out of my reach then though.

All in all a very nice ride.

dunno if you can drive it on your p's. but if i get pulled over and they say i cant drive. i would be able to get an exemption any way, bein a motor mechanic.

its got fairly low k's aswell. 130,000kms.

Your not covered unless you've got that hot little piece of paper from Vic Roads. Id also be surprised if they covered it for your own vehicle for private use.

Probably is but the heads still don't flow to 600hp because there is no need to. get my point.

Ask plenty of others what they think of some of COMES stroker packages?
You might rethink your plan.
I have seen a couple and IMHO I wouldnt go that route. My opinion of course.

:spew: Thats horrible, my mate has a mini truck and what a bomb, my mate's mate has a mini truck which is turbo and it blew up 1 month later :bravo: . I would keep the VS and stroke it or even get a ss ute. Mini trucks I hate.
