Ive been thinking about buying CAPA's ported maf ends. Does any body know if they actually give you more power etc. Do you have to get your ECU re-programed or what? Is this a good thing to do or dont waste my money?

If you're gunna go fiddling with the MAF, your best options are piss it off altogether or upgrade to the larger VZ MAF. For the $$$ spent doing what you're thinking of doing, you'd see f*ck all gains for the outlay.
Just my thoughts but I wouldn't bother. Save the $$$ for more worthwhile modifications. That is not a slight on CAPA in any way shape or form.
Do a search on ported MAF:

Been there done that on the last car a VX2 SS.
You'll achieve 3 things doing this.
1.A lighter wallet
2.A car that pings in hot weather
3.Stuff all performance benefit
