Hey all

Well 2 weekends ago I picked up some nice, brand new Team Red shirts at $80 each.

One of them happened to be the one skaifeys been wearing on all the media lately - the team red one, although his has DODO where mine has HSV and his has his name.

Anyway I wore it once, no worries, fits, comfy - been through 2 washes.

I'm pretty sure I threw out the bloody reciept after that. So today I'm wearing it with pride to stir up my mate, afterall HRT Team Red is in position 1 and 2 for tomorrow Clipsal 500 race 1 and I wanted to enforce who I support because I mightnt have such another strong chance this year (hopefully I will though), what a way to start the year.

Typical ford bloke, he picks up the faults. "Why is Skilled on the shouler upside down". Theres 2 rows of 3 sponsors on each shoulder, on the left shoulder at the very top where its noticable the Skilled logo was upside down.

Frantically I searched for the bloody reciept to take it back, but I'm certain Ive thrown it out

So i spent the last hour and a half unstitching this little square, then re stitching it. In a way I was lucky because the stitch holes almost matched up perfectly except for along the top where whoever originally stitched it sort of went off the straight line and at an angle so I filled all the original holes with thread and it looks "original"

Hopefully it survives, especially in the wash ... Ive never really done anything like this before so I dunno.

But is it just me or is Holdens quality now affecting every bloody thing with their logo? Gone are the days where I could at least put faith in my shirts lasting :eyes:

sorry just had to have a rant, spend all this money on a bloody shirt thats faulty and FYI no, I didnt notice it when I brought it obviously. Like a new car, you dont notice the scratch or the dent or the whine till after youve driven away!

Obviously the cheap labour that sewed the label/badge was'nt very skilled.:lmao:

Cheers

Most of the shirts I have bought were ok quality. I have noticed though that some of the later ones are much cheaper looking.

Maybe they now have a new supplier?

Maybe you should just buy one of the Team LS1 shirts :)

That was a mistake re-attaching the logo the right way up.

Your shirt would have been worth a cool million in around 10 years time :(

I can always un attach it

Ah well I brought it to be worn, not to sit in a closet collecting dust. Same with my model cars, I'm told "leave it sealed in the box - it'll be worth heaps in the future" but I brought it to be displayed and looked at, not locked away in a sealed box :eyes:

Just like buying a BRAND NEW model car, those who rush in can end up with the problems! I doubt this problem will be around long. Might have even been the only faulty one.....
(And, Holden don't actually make them)

I realise Holden dont acctually make the shirts, but like anything you attach your name or logo too you assume some sort of quality, afterall its your brands logo people see on these shirts, not the shirt manufacturers!

"Dude your cover is blown, your a chick" lmao, no I'm just a very talented person :yup:

"i shouldnt think you would need the receipt for something so obvious as that. the store miiiiight tell you to GGF'd, but im sure holden might be a little more understanding" Holden tell you to GGF when you ask them to replace an 80 cent glovebox clip on a $40 000 car, what chance do I have asking them to replace a faulty T shirt? Those with VZs will know the clip I'm on about PN 92210498 snaps in half then the glovebox falls onto your knees.

Probably was the only faulty one, and like usual, I fixed it. Gettin used to this with new Holden stuff:flip2:

Gotta say m8 I had a problem with the dye running in a HRT shirt a couple years ago. Called them and they sent me post pak to mail the old one to them and then sent me a new shirt. No receipt as the shirt was a gift. Their service was far superior to a Holden dealer.
