I was thinking the same myself.
Crashes into the wall at Bathurst last year for HRT.
Crashes last weekend into the wall at turn 8 in Adelaide in the first race.
Crashes again into someone else AND takes out Craig Lowndes in the second race in Adelaide.
And now Melbourne he crashes again! :eek:

Seems all a bit embarrassing for Ford really as they made much delight at the time of poaching him from under the feet of HRT :moon:

i thought wincup set a new race lap record in race 1, the cars got alot of pace atm, but he seemed to outbrake himself with 1 lap to go in r1 otherwise the podium wouldnt have been a all holden affair

Gloating is ok, a few of the drivers for there experience in the big league, a couple of drivers out there young guns as a few will call it.

I know a couple of the young guns personally and i use to race go-karts up against them, just to name a few, Mark Winterbottom, Jamie Wincup, Dean Canto, James courtney and 5 out of 10 in the fujitsu series. All these drivers are job drivers out there, some just fail a little under pressure, but experience does play a big part in the end of the day.

Now, can someone explain why this event doesn't yield any points towards the championship?

Yes I thought the same, they should make it a championship round. Maybe change ti to 3 20-25lap races or something. All the teams still have to pay to race then event so it may aswell be worth something.

I thought the Jack Daniels boys did well aswell. I think between them, HRT, HSV and supercheap, holden are gonna have a pretty compeditive year.
