Just wish I could afford toys like this. Ah well, I keep getting told if I wanted money I wouldnt be in automotive, so in return I just enjoy everyone elses toys (then hand them back :doh: )

how does insurence go on that? I was gonna buy a vx II ss but the insurence company said they would give me insurence, i.e. i pay the premium each year, but wen it comes down to me making a claim, they said that they could say that i was driving the car illegally (high powered vehical), and they wouldnt pay me any money. Thats why i got the xu6...

out of curiosity what sort of premium are you guys looking at? dont forget all it takes to run into someone and be at fault is a slight distraction - ive been run into twice now and both times the drivers were "slightly distracted", and trust me, if you so much as scratched my car I'd be going ya on insurance :nyuk:

I got quoted BS amounts even on a VX Execcie, hate to think how much on a V8. Then again Ive gone comprehensive for the above reason and the fact I need to for the finance.

first of al i love the vl calais as soon as i finish school this year im looking to build a project car and secondly i dont like cars very much when they try to make it look like another car, i love your car the way it is, the only thind id do is lower it how you have stated and do the mods

the rims loook great....are the vz ss guard a difficult task 2 do? why dint u opt for the vz monaro front.....wouldve loookd heaps better....but this one aint bad either!

Nah Im Not A Massive Fan Of The VZ Monaro Front. Its A Completly Different Shape, Which I Personally Dont Think Suits A VT VX Model Car.

But Each To Their Own I Surpose.

If Your Serious About Going To The Re-Spray, I Have A Few Good Contacts, So Let Me Know.

Yea i am. What sort of price am i looking at. I dont need anything to specatular (i.e. im not changing the colour, just sticking with phantom mica). the contacts would be good.

I thought its illegal for p-platers to drive V8s in victoria?? but then again that's what i heard. I actually waited till I got off my P's and got myself a VX II SS. I'm 23 and paying $1650 insurance with RACV if that's of any help. Last month I got a monaro bonnet and tail lights installed, called up insurance about it and they did not even increase my premium.

Yea I love those wheels on your car. When the time comes for me to change tires, I'd probably go something like that.

also could you post some pics or PM me pics of the interior (sound/entertainment) system. that would probably be my next mod.

In regards to the pillar gauges you are talking about. Dunno if legal but a few months back I spoke to the guys at 'cybercentury' in springvale and they reckon they can get one that will fit the vx for 2 gauges. I didnt look into it too much as i think i read somewhere it's illegal, etc (would be worth checking though)
