Gave it a rinse and polish, I reckon it looks alright too :banana:

Nah, not me. Only picked it up last weekend, and the exhaust is still stock :limpy:

But not for long...

I have a ls2 Maloo as well.I had G&D in Cranbourne work it over and it is an animal.I suggest if you do the diff dont go higher than 3.7 as I went 3.9 and is hard to keep straight

Just a stupid question, dont the VZ's use the AP racing brakes on their cars??? This one looks like its the harrop set up anyone care to explain

Anthony: sometime late in 2005 HSV changed brake (& tyre) suppliers for their premium brakes from harrop to AP. Same setup with a 4 piston caliper but the AP's have slotted discs instead of the harrops drilled. Don't know why they did this, but I'm glad that i've got the australian made harrops on my Z Maloo R8.

Originally that was one of my conditions of purchase, that they removed the wing and smoothed out the paint etc. It turned out, that with buying the R8, it was really the only distinguishing feature of the R8. So without that it was just a Maloo, not R8.

The only people that can buy that wing on the Maloo are people who can prove they own a R8 Maloo, with tags etc. Plus it looks better in black, doesnt stand out as much. With the other colours it looks like its glued on or something, with black it blends in a little more.

i agree with the ur wing comment, at first i didnt like the maloos with wings (i'm, against all wings.. full STOP. as u can tell from my car :) ) but now ive fallen for the maloo r8 with the wing, it looks so damnnn nice

congrats [J], beautiful peice of machinery. if i was to buy a ute, the maloo would have to be the only avenue to ultimate satisfaction and u can't beat an already tough car in BLACK. soooooo sexy!! in regards to the wing, there's no way i'd be touching it. only way to have it is "pristine maloo on the outside, MONSTER on the inside"!!! :demon:
