Hi All,
I would be very appreciative for any information from members having this tyre on their commodore 235/45/17. I am considering purchasing these tyres and I tried to get info of search function but unsatisfactory result.
Thanks,:headbang:

A mate just put these in 275/30-20 's on his F6. It still spins a bit in 2nd but by all accounts he likes them.

Damn thing has just under 400rwkw's so they go alright.

Hi All,
I have had the tyres on for a couple of weeks and can highly recommend the Toyo TIR's good in dry and wet.
A Good value for money tyre and driverability has greatly improved over the
B530's.
Regards,
Mick

The latest wheels mag tested these tyres on (235/45R17) and the proxes was 2nd last overall, there isnt much in the tests though but from memory the proxes was only close to the top on one of the tests.

I'm in the tyre industry and one of the standout tyres that has placed between 1st and 3rd the last 12 months in wheels/motor tests is the Maxxis MA-Z1 (3rd in latest under GS-D3 and Dunlop). We are selling a few of this particular tyre in 17" and they are only about $195.00 ea. I actually drive a FORD work ute also and these are currently are on the vehicle in 235/40R18 and are the best we've had on it, we previously had G/Yr GS-D3, Dun SP9000, B/Stone GIII and a few others and these have been the best gripping, weraing so far.

I'm happy that the tyres are working for you though.:)
Plus you got them at a good price as i think retail is around $300 and wheels mag quoted $316.00 retail.
Cheers.

I must add to that i reckon the T1R's would be much better over B530's.

There's also a very interesting review of eleven performance tyres available from The TireRack (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/CandD_gy_f1_gs_d3.jsp). They tested 225/45R17s on BMW 325i's, but I disagree with their choice of factory recommended f29/r35 psi inflations (similar to Holden's f29/r36 psi recommendation). The Toyo T1-R finished eighth. It's one of the newer tyres offering a higher load rating of 97 vs the standard 94 (for 235/45R17). I haven't looked at this year's Wheels tyre tests yet, are they still sponsored by Rod Jane who supply Maxxis?

Sorry guys, this should be f29/r29 (min) & f32/r36 (max).
