I can't rememeber where I first saw that - bloody funny. I think they ran some fast times with it all stripped. Not surprising since there is nothing wrong with the 'ol Nissan SR20DE motor. Great little number. I had a SSS pulsar with just an exhaust and it ran a 15.4s quarter (in hot Townsville). A bit harsh up top but it had torque and power. Small cars are still catching up to the SR20 which has been around for years and years.

Car Australia (Remember that mag) did the same thing in the early 90's to a Datsun 120y. The managed to get the 400m time down from around 25sec to 17sec. in the end the car looked like a billy cart.

Yeah I remember that. They used the inner glovebox surround as an OTRCAI as it was wedge shaped :lmao: !!! Not unlike the OTRCAI basic shapes these days.. classic.

It was done by a magazine years ago as a light-hearted attempt at showing how less weight improves your 1/4 mile time. I think they got it down to 14.x sec (it's a stock Pulsar from memory...or rather, WAS a stock Pulsar  ).
