I take it that SSJB hasn't been paying any attention to V8supercars since it's been announce last year or been doing any studying on the net for the info.

30 cars arriving at a 60 kph hairpin after a 300 kph straight with the faster cars piling in on the slow ones with reverse grid. Carnage is inevitable on the first lap, and thats what they got.

[The Warden]

Apparently there was a huge accident in the Porsche Cup race which has delayed the start of the V8 race.

You're not wrong Dave, this accident was a BIG one. The car went over the catch fence after I don't know how many rolls. Spectators hit by a door and sprayed in hot oil, but no serious injury including driver Dean Fulford....unbelievably lucky for all concerned.

I reckon it's a great track. Very, very, fast with tricky corners coming onto and leaving the front straight, the cars sliding thru' those corners is fantastic to watch and a real test for the drivers. It might look like an oval in plan, but it's much more than that when you're there.

What caused the crashed?

Looks like it could be. I understand he only has a broken finger. There was a pic in the paper of him in hospital, smiling and holding up that photo saying he was a bit surprised to find he was in the grandstand once they got him out of the car...... You could see that the blood vessels in his eyes had burst - like what happens to fighter pilots due to the G forces.

Two cars touched on the front straight and they both went into the armco on the other side (broke that side as well) one stayed upright on the track, Fulford's car got tipped into the series of barrel rolls......
