Years ago I went for a ride in a Steve Knight prepared 2.6 litre turbo Sigma thru the hills roads around Kangarilla........
the acceleration of this thing was unbelievable.....no wonder that Steve ended up racing for Mitsubishi!

I have to say the acceleration of thing is unbelievable once it’s on boost. It’s a great sleeper also, nothing better then see faces of other people when they get chopped by a dirty gold sigma with primer on it everywhere. It’s a bit of and animal to drive on the street so we are trying to think of other things to do with it. We are thinking that a run across the salt flats could be a bit of fun.
Motor wise it has a astron-2 2.6l motor, a rather large turbo, and all the other fun stuff associated with a turbo set up. It is running out of air flow in the top end so we are trying to nut out what the best way to attack it is.
A couple of weeks ago it was at the Mazfix dyno day and it was twisting and lifting the dyno off the floor as it has that much torque.

watch the rear of the dyno as it comes on boost, it twists the dyno off the floor
