hey all.
this is the ride a scab at the moment, im still saving for my car.

Ford Falcon Xr8
BA Mk2
5.4ltr v8 DOHC
260kw flywheel

goes pretty well for a ford. suspension could be better.
i love the fake gt stripes though.

Nice mate, But is that a GTS sticker on the front bar of the Falcon??

nah it says GT-8
just a knockoff lol
the legit stripes were just to pricy. plus they wouldn't sell them to me unless i had proof that i owned a GT.

Hmm...I'd have to agree...But it'd have to loose the stripes first :p

And yeah, can see the GT in the stickers but the 8 looks a bit like an S :p

I didn't think P platers were allowed to drive V8s ???

Anyway, nice ride, still don't like the stripes though ... no offence, I just don't like them on anything. Looks the goods in yellow though !!

yeah i was lucky,
i got my p's long before the new rules came in so i was exempt. i checked it with the rta when the announcement was made.

thanks for the comments guys.
in a few more months you will see my very own ride up here. still saving and investigating. but so far it looks like it will be a 2003 sportivo hatchback. commodores are a bit outta my price range.

peace
angelo

Not too bad for a 4 letter F-word.

Might wanna think about blurring out the number plates though !

why?
I dont know too many P platers who get around in a bright yellow XR8 with dickie home made GT-8 stickers

Hey Angelo its a shame I didnt know you were after stripes, I coulda got genuine ones for them because, err thats what I do every day (parts), and failing that I know someone with a GT-P so getting hold of a VIN woulda been easy

As for the Corolla I'd say go with it, from someone who works in the industry we use 2005/2006 Corollas as our loan cars because they can take a flogging and never fail yet we're not Toyota, and trust me, ours cop a flogging :stick:

oh well. thnx anyway man.
i got my fakes from NZ on ebay for 80 buks
and had them put on for free. :-)

The one thing ford really got right on this model falcon is the exhaust note. for a stocker it sounds sooooooooooo nice.
