VT 2 EXEC LS1

Hi all i thought i better post my ride up in here, i built it in November last year and i had what is australia's first carbied LS1, and drove it around and drag raced it and am having lots of fun, then i was offered a feature in street commodores magazine so the photoshoot was done in feburary. and 1 week before the LS1 Nationals i thought i might chuck injection on it and try it out! so i took it there and had a ball just need to lower my times. anyway enough talking from me here are the specs.

not a lot just a bit smoother to drive and 8mph over the quarter and 10rwkws on the dyno.

An extra 8MPH sounds like it make a fair bit more average power thru the mid-range, if not at teh top end.

i brought the car for $500 missing a bonnet and i chucked in an ss trim, gave it a quick polish and tidied a few things up and thats it. it had 196,000kms on it the car has done 201,000kms now but the speedo was reset when the engine went in so its done 5,000kms. and it had been sittin around for 2 years in a paddock.

Car looks in great condition. The body and trim looks to be in fantastic condition for its age, and the fact that it had been sitting in a paddock for 2 years...

laza007 - ill get some pics organised during the next couple of days, the engine is now together, from intake to sump. so ill get a pic of it too.
throttlehappy - yeah, most people are :p
boofa21 - Depends on how it is driven, but with the pedal down its a very lively rear end.

throttlehappy - had to get a set of mudflaps, its what sets it off, plus it also keeps the rubber of the bumper too. and nah tissues are on the back floor lol, and the wide brim hat um i think im still wearing it. haha, i have also been wanting to get a set of venetions for the back and quarter windows.
michaels1v8 - Yeah it looks that way, i brought the car for $500 and drove it home, it was missing the grill and bonnet, and the RHF gaurd was dented and indicator smashed out, and a broken side window. but brought a new grill and a indicator lens, and found a excellent condition secondhand guard in same colour, and a excellent bonnet, so i didnt need to paint them and the paint on those panels dont stick out, and are the same colour. so for under $1000 i had a mint body vn to play with.
Wonky - Haha thanks Wonky, If you come up this way be sure to let me know, ill take you for a spin.

Got piks of your setup by any chance?
What are you doing for the electricals? are you modding the engine loom to suit the VP body loom? or the other way round? or something else?
