Just a thought after a couple of days sifting through thread after thread to find decent exhaust sound files that are spread from end to end of ls1.com to listen to other exhaust combo's on other cars I thought this would be a whole lot easier with a dedicated sticky on exhaust sound files so that poeple could listen to a range of different systems and try to narrow the selection eg.

Vyss hsv clubsport 4 into 1 extractors with mild steel xforce cat back no resinator cost $??? then soundfile (insert here) .

what you think Geeza's.

Good idea, interesting aside though: Where to record the sound from so apples can be compared with apples? Directly behind the exhaust and revving it in neutral? From inside the cabin giving it WOT so you can hear it under load?

I know my exhaust sounds great when I'm belting down the road...pretty so-so sitting there at idle or just revving it or some reason...

been attempted before ... most frustrating thing is links that dont work!!! drivves me insane ... i know some links are old or outdated but should find those two threads to contain a fair bit

and i think all cars only sound so so wen they are free reving in neutral, something to do with backpressure i THINK but could be wrong

anyway might not be a bad idea to start a new thread for sound clips

cheers

I used to love that Holden Symphony ad on tv. That sounded sensational.
