As some of you guys will remember, I had a few problems (3 i think) at one of the skidpan days, one of which was a flat tyres due to a buckled rim (not caused at the skidpan btw). So after driving around on two spares for a while, I finally bit the bullet and decided to fork out the $600-$650 for a new GTO rim (plus I would have had to get two new tyes, so min $1000).
So into Sonny's for my 75000kms service to see if he may be able to get them cheeper. Now ,being the intellect he is, says why pay $1000 for one rim when you could get a whole new rim/tyre package. Sonny just got some new wheels for his car and tells me he got a great deal from Jeff (Geoff?) just up the road at Payless Tyres.
10 minutes later and some great service im told I can get a full package for only $500 more for either Genuine VY SS wheels or Genuine SSZ wheels Sold. (he also just got in some genuine CV8Z rims with aswell but I stuck with the norms).

Now overall I think the GTO rims are better but the SSZ (and Thunder utes now) ones just make the ute look so different. And the feeling of being back on a full set of 18x8 instead of 15x6, and new tyres, fantastic!! Eventually i'll want to go back to the GTO syle rims so when the missues sells her car and we get the Monaro (I was toatally shocked at how eager she is to get one  ) i'll switch these rims onto it, sell those, and buy a full new set of GTO rims. At the moment though, im toatally happy
Well thats my little story for the week :hmmm:
