Thanks for the response guyes. This only one my first few posts. This is a cool forum!!

Anyway, luv my ute! I want to do a few little mods to it when I get some more cashola!

I had a VY Maloo before this. This Craps on it!! The 6 litre has much more torque. The HSV was not worth the extra tuperware. Also I get an extra 80 to 100 Km's out of this one.

I'm a happy camper!

Hey I seen a very modified ute a while ago in some mag and it had the same sort of hard cover. It was a 3 peice though same colour, but is this factory now? The luggage compartment is a good idea cause you can have your shopping there. Good god did I just say that.

Here is a look inside the container.
It is actually one of my products. It is not a mod, it is a whole new lid design. I can't advertise on this forum as I don't have a subscription. So I will do the right thing by them.
It is a new product and there is a wb site!!

P.S This is not my ute. I just didn't have a pic of the inside.

That is a beautiful VZ Thunder, Tortuga!! As I have said before, we could sell a ton (kilo) of these in the states. It reminds me of our 60s El Camino, a very cool car/truck combo. Did you change the grill fascia on the front? I noticed the Chevrolet "bow tie" in gold on the front. The rear fiberglas cover with the extra storage tray is very creative. We have covers like that here, but no one has made it with the "boot in the boot". Very very cool!!!

Nice Ride Dude.
Love the wheels and really Love that lid!! What a great idea. looks factory too.

I've seen a couple on the road. They are a heap better and more practacle than that SSZ lid.

Are they water proof and lockable?

What's your website address?
I'm going to trick up my ute and I would't mind one of those lidZZZ!

Like it!!!!

Hey Tortuga. Nice ride

I reckon those rims rock. They are like a HBD rim, but huge. The ride height makes it look even sicker. I lowered my VY, but it's too lowe in the back now, Hit everything!!!!! That lid is a nice touch too. I saw a silver one not long ago and it looked tuff as!!! I need one. Where do you get them from and do I have to cut a hole in my lid to fit the bucket??

HI There Sparky,
I don't know where people are getting their facts from, but I will confirm that my lid is made of fibreglass not cheap plastic:doh:

I can't advertise in this forum as I am not a sponsor YET!!! So I will do the right thing by them. Once it kicks off I will consider it.

I just wanted to show off my new ride. That's all

Thanks GEN4SS!!

A mate at Bob Jane put in a lowered set of coupe springs and struts. Perfect height!!

VZGen4,

The ride is great surprisingly. Just have to be real careful on those nasty gutters. Who invented them anyway??? I like the wheels because the look like a standard Holden wheel on steroids!!LOL

Nice Ute! Love the wheels and the hard cover.

I bought an SSZ in the same colour, you said you were going to do some more mods as you get cash. Do you know of any way to fill in the gaping hole in the front bumper in front of the radiator. Yours is the same as mine. I think it looks cheap, unfinished and empty.

bambam
29-06-2006, 03:47 PM
I went and bought a grill for that gap. The ss sedans have them fitted from factory and for some reason the utes dont. Very cheap to do and takes all of half an hour to fit. (gotta remove the front bar)

Look at any ss sedan. You will see what i mean.
