I just came across an article in the Perth Street Car Magazine (Vol 14 No1) that with Brocky's input, a new suspension kit similar to the set up used in the 2003 and 2004 Targa Tasmanian Monaros is now available in WA. It includes struts, dampers, springs and bump stops. Don't know how much yet.

My question is, if you have one of this kit installed what is the improvement in handling qualities, etc? I may be asking this question too early as it has only been released recently in WA.

From what i have read it's a kit made By STA (suspension technology australia) its a coilover package that allows fitment of upto 20" wheels etc.

I've had a quote on the front setup alone and well... I chose to spend the money elsewhere.

I was told by W.A Suspensions that this kit was in the region of the $3K mark. Quite pricey!

not for coilovers its not. If you got a full set for 3k thats cheap. A set of koni's/Bilstien's with decent springs is 2k.

For a decent set of adjustable coilovers, thats a bargain!

I have this suspension set up in my Maloo, and i have to say...i have had alot of cars with alot of differant types of suspension and this 1 by far is the best and will be going into the LE this week. When it first went into the Maloo it was around 4200 dollars but i got it for around 3500...IMO money well spent if you want a lowered car that drives like a standard ride height 1.

ciao.

Just had the same kit fitted into the Coupe 4 which I will pick up on Tuesday.
Looking foward to see how it handles Lincoln.
