Hi Guys -

Looking for a little advice, but mostly any ideas for local people (WA) who can take care of some performance work.

Essentially what I'm after is a blower/cam/valve job with a decent exhaust/tune and probably some mild suspension work and perhaps even some brakes too (depending on budget).

I've got a VZ CV8 Monaro, completely stock. Barely driven (less than 500ks on the clock).

My criteria is (In order of importance)

1) Reliability/Sleeper look. Something as close to OEM looking as possible.
2) Honesty/Integrity of supplier. This car is my baby.
3) Power/Performance
4) Price

Whatever is fitted, I really want it to look as original as possible. I hate rice, and I hate work that looks "hacked". Something like the Harrop kit looks great, but I have no idea if there's any decent mechs over here who supply/work on it.

Reliability is king, as even though the car is NOT a daily driver, I don't want a mechanical nightmare. I am happy to sacrifice ultimate power/performance for something that will give me 100,000ks and 10 years of relative low maintenance.

Price, well depends - just like everything, but I'm not going to be constrained by this in my selection. Happy to defer brakes/suspension until the next round if it means I'm not going to have to compromise what I'm after.

It's absolutely critical that I find a supplier/mechanic who takes care (and expects to be paid appropriately because of it) and is proud of the work they do. The car really is something I want to keep as a show piece, so I don't want something unreliable, dodgy looking or virtually impossible to maintain/drive.

Any local guys (Perth/WA) who can provide any advice, would be very greatfully accepted... Either here, or PM..

Thanks a lot guys......

wow wish i had all those upgrade to do at once - you are going to get back a changed car thats for sure!
Sleeper Cv8? is there such a thing? lol

You have two options or can use both of them. I have and have found both to be very good.
one is WA Performance (aka Leederville auto care) in leederville
the other is Chipmaster in maddington.

Both can do what your looking for, for a good price and will give you good service. They are sponsers here and look after many people. Let us know how you go.

Yeah I figured I'd get them all done at once, since going through all the pain of opening the engine is probably done best once.

Brakes/Suspension can probably wait, just depends on how much the price comes in at.

Any recommendations on particular equipment based on what I'm looking for?.. I really like the OEM look of the Harrop stuff (They do a LS1 blower, right?)... Is all this stuff available locally? Any traps I should be careful not to fall into?

Thanks again.
