Some enterprising soul has come up with an online registry for stolen motorcycles. It looks like it has only just started up but with some time and the word getting around teh intarnets it should be a very handy thing to have.

Hi Guys,

I'm the guy who has put the Stolen Dirt/Road Bike Register together and I'd like to express my thanks for the reference to the site in your forums.

A lot of the local riders have had their bikes stolen so I put the site together to try and provide some place for a victim to list the details of their stolen bike and have that info available to the public. The hope being that a bike has a better chance of being recovered it you can get some info about it. Prior to this service, there was nowhere a purchaser can go to confirm if a bike is stolen. Even a registered bike will not come up as a vehicle of interest until you go to transfer the rego into your name, and by then you have paid your money.

So if you know of anyone that has their bike stolen, please ask them to enter the details into the website - it's free as well.

Thanks again,

Glenn.
