i know you can adjust it by removing the handbrake cover, move the drivers seat all the way back and you should b able to see a screw that you can adjust.

thats how i adjusted mine :)

On a VS there are 2 ways.. quick way and the 'right' way.

1. under car adjust the nut where the h/brake comes down
2. remove rear wheels, calipers, discs and adjust brake shoes then put all together

i dunno if it the same as a vy but on mine i did it buy pulling the rubber boot out a little and there is a nut there with a cable on the end of it just tighten the nut up easier if you have long sockets too

Support front wheels. Jack up rear and place stands in correct postion. Remove rear wheel and take handbrake off. Remove the 2x19mm bolts and remove brake calipers. Remove disc's and turn star adjusters so as the handbrake shoes just touch the inside of the disc's. Refit disc's, refit brake calipers with cleaned and loctite bolts. Refit wheels. Done

easies way is jack rear up take the wheel off
and you will see a round rubber grommet in between the wheel studs
take that out
rotate the hub so the hole is at the bottom
get a torch and look in and you will see the adjustment wheel
stick a screw driver in and turn it

Before you start adjusting the star wheels in the hubs, back the adjusting nut off that's under the lever in the cabin. When you've adjusted the star wheels and refitted the rotors, tighten the nut to set how many clicks you want the handle to move before it engages.

All that will do is take slack outta the cable, It's not really adjusting is it??? The only way to adjust the hand brake CORRECTLY is to chock the front wheels, jack up the rear of the car so both rears are off the ground, Chassis stands x 2. Remove both rear wheels and release tension off hand brake cable, remove the black blanking plugs adjcaent to 2 of the wheel studs.

Turn rotor so that hole (where black plugs were) is at the 3 O'clock position, Using your drum brake adjusting tool wide the adjuster out until it starts to become a lil tight, then spin the rotor a few revolutions you will feel brake shoe dragging ever so slightly, refit lil black plug and then repeat on the other rear brake assy. Refit both rear wheels and tension correctly. Jack rear up and remove chassis stands and lower to ground (Gently). Check all wheel nuts. Check hand brake adjustment in cab, 5 clicks maxium travel.
