See http://www.graysonline.com.au/catalogue.asp?SALE_ID=50149&SALE_TYPE=THUMB (6 mild steel Monaro systems and 6 full stainless sedan systems)
I emailed the guy running the auction and he told me that they are ESA systems. I know nothing about them but did a search and opinions seem divided between those who think ESA systems are great and those who think they are crap. I already have a system I am very happy with so won't be bidding, am just letting anyone who may be looking for a system know so they can check it out for themselves.
Graysonline is totally different to eBay in that they are a licensed auctioneering company (Gray, Eisedel and Timms). You can bid on the items with complete confidence that everything is totally legit and above board. I have won lots of items from them (TVs, iPAQs, home theatre systems and lots more) over several years and have never had a problem. Some cost me $1,000 or more and I recommend them without hesitation IF you read carefully about total costs, whether the parts are new or not (in this case they are new) and warranty (in this case none).
Total costs = winning bid amount + buyer’s premium (their fee) + delivery + GST if applicable (it is for this sale).
Nobody has yet made a bid on any of these which is very unusual for a couple of days since it began, so it is possible you could pick up the polished stainless steel system for the current opening bid of $449. That would make your total cost:
$449 + 10% buyer’s premium + 10% GST + delivery ($15 - $50 for most of Aust) so for about $560 - $600 you could pick up a new stainless twin 2.5” system. Sounds reasonable if you like ESA?????
The mild steel Monaro systems are currently at $299 so would end up around $400 delivered if nobody bids them up. Probably reasonable but no great bargain??? (although RRP is supposedly $970!)
For exact delivery costs see the sale overview.
PS The suggested kw gains are crap! (submitted by the seller, not Graysonline)
PPS If interested in one do your own check into what make they are – I was told ESA but check for yourself before bidding.
