I bought my VX SS from a holden dealer in Fawkner (vic) as a 'certified used vehicle', and i took it back to them last week for its 2nd warranty claim within the first 3 months. But, last week it appears they havent fixed the problems it was there for.

Now, because I live in the outer east of melb, and work 8am-5pm and do not have time to drop my car off to fawkner all the time or dick around with replacement cars etc, am I able to take my warranty claim to a dealer that is closer to me?? or are used car warranties dealer specific??

Basically, they didnt fix the problems and its too much of an inconvenience to go back to the dealer i purchased it from on the opposite side of melb.

Thanks for any advice.

It will be dealer specific according to the rules, but may be some phone calls and the circumstances may change things.
If the dealer has been paid once by the insurance company to fix a problem, the insurance company will not pay again, because they will say it is the dealer rework and the repairing dealer must fix it at their cost.
The repairing dealer will not pay another dealer to fix it, so they will insist it go back to them for the repair, it will cost them less to fix it themselves rather than pay another dealer to fix it.
