Hi Guys,

It was "Colin Pocock's" car - the President of the HSV Owners Club Victoria. So of course it is in beautful condition!!! inside and out!!!
HSV Clubsport VXII 15th Anniversary edition.
haha and my old car in the backround, good old VN - was my first car.
Here are some links below of my car. I wasn't sure how to add images to the post.

very nice. Good to see the turtle shell is gone. 1st thing I did when I started reading around on here.

now jsut do yourself a 2 hole mod and get rid of that tiny MAF pipe and replace it with a big 4" GTS one and you'll be well on your way.

G & D, chevs, hpf they are all sponsors in melbourne, give them a call to chat. Before you buy the K & N air filter setup, stop and read about over the radiator ones like this one. They are heaps better.

I wholeheartedly agree, go the OTR - NOT the K & N intake kit.

AND, I can also recommend those 3 shops in SE Melbourne's outer suburbs.

Cheers,

Macca

whats the OTR kit??

Just an air intake that goes over the radiator. few companies do them - powertorque, G & D, Marranos etc. Best to do some searching and read up.

Running GENT1000 kit. Garret Turbo. Around 400RWKW. Currently ive got 314RWKW with cam and heads.

Marranos who are a sponsor of this site i think do one with a maf still being able to be used.

The rest of them are mafless setups. Mafless is the way to go. Wont have any problems.

400!!! not bad at all.....
dont have money to do tune now, how much it roughly cost? $1000ish??
you only do cam/heads to get it at 314RWKW??

also just another question off topic, what does the non-validated and validated thing mean?? how do i get validated?

Morning vxclubby85. Real nice looking car. Love that colour. I have in stock orrsome otrcai. These can be fitted with maff or maffless. With a maffless tune, supplied and fitted, throttle body mods, dyno graphs before and after and a change of oil and filter for a cost of $1800 inc gst. Hope this helps. Cheers Chev

Yes cam and heads only for 314rwkw and not a huge cam. You can get that power with cam only but it will be a big cam.

Mafless tune up this neck of the woods around $1200 plus the OTR Around $600. You would have to ask sponsors down that way what the charge by getting in touch with them. Maf tune up here in Qld is around $990.00

Validated just gets you into a few private areas. Need to have 2 validated members vouch for you once they get to know you. This is done by going on cruises or going to drag meets etc.

just thought i'd mention, that 315rwkw is an LS2
so dont be mislead into thinkin that head/cam on yours will reach that unless as mentioned its a big cam...
not steppin on anyones toes just thought it wasnt clear enough!
again OTRCAI is awesome ... be sure to have that on your list!!
btw always loved vx hsvs awesome looking beasts!

Nice car mate, Hopefully my next car will be a VX clubby

Auto or Manual?

vxclubby85
10-06-2006, 03:30 PM
manual of course :)
my old VN was auto, i hated it!!!

did quiet alot to it though, 3.8l
cam, heads, full twin exhaust, tuned, stage 2 shift kit, 2500 stally, bigger intake - k&N with bigger throttle body etc...

plus changed entire interior, used to be a lovely brown colour..........
haha
so changed it all over to grey and put in some VY commo seats!!! that was the best thing, so comfy.
got it resprayed etc...
my old man owns his own smash repiar business so everything i got done was easy and sweet as :)

it was my first car so did everything i wanted to it,
was pretty bloody quick for a 6
here are a few pics of it,
gotta put it up for sale!

:nos: HI THERE MATE DID IT TAKE LONG TO FIT THE K&N FILTER KIT IS IT BETTER THAN THE HOLDEN TWO HOLE OTRCAI DOES IT SEAL HARD UP TO THE BONNET AND HOWS THE INDUCTION NOISE AND IS IT WORTH GETTING INSTEAD OF THE OVER RADIATOR ONE THANKS.

vxclubby85
17-06-2006, 12:38 AM
hey

took me about 20min to fit
and from what i can see it does seal against the bonnet
sound wise is unreal!! when its under WOT you can hear the amount of air the engine is sucking in and trying to force out!!! making it sound much meaner then what is was.
compared to over radiator one, depends.
from what ive seen they cost $500-600+
where you can buy this kit for $300ish

and it does make a difference!!!
im very pleased with it!!
looks aswell!!!
