With PWR and Walkinshaw Performance doing it already in a semi official manor, doubt it.

yep tend to agree. I think there will be minimal options available. the dealer will sell you the basic car and then send you to one of their official / licenced performance people.
I am more interested to see what sort of basic car we will be getting from HSV. Surely the new HSV LS2 engine will have 300kw+ now. With the standard Holden SS coming in at a reported 270ish kw's they would need to have a reasonable gap to help give a good enough difference between the two cars.

With rumours of FPV s/charging the boss engine, why wouldnt they?

look there is no reason why they wouldn't or shouldn't do it but I can't see it happening from the factory floor. Otherwise they wouldn't have opened Walkenshaw Performance. I do however thing that HSV will be looking to re-establish some of it exclusivity which it has lost in recent times due to the huge discounting on VY and VZ models. How they do that will be interesting.

Up here i remember a guy who had a PWR supercharged VY Clubby saying that he was able to have his car still under warranty, so id say its just a matter of time.:bravo:

Next HSV exclusive engine will probably be LS3, 6.2 litre and 315-320 kw. I don't think they'll be worried about Fords. Supercharging as used on the GT500 Shelby has made it about as quick 0-60 and over the quarter as an LS2 Vette, but supercharging it added 150kg to the whole car. Putting any more weight in the nose of the Falc will simply hurt it more.
And the 400hp Corvette beat it in every performance test.

hey fellas, yes it will be exciting times when the ve's come out. One of our supplies just bought a brand new VZ Maloo and got it worked to the crap house (600HP) still with warranty intact because the dealer he bought it from said the peformance shop he was taking it to was covered by full warranty. He just got the car back yeah he did ring up HSV becasue the traction control doesn't do to much anymore:rofl:
Cheers

the extra 150kg was just about rigiding the whole body, but i agree that adding a s/c will put more weight up front unless they lighten things up. Also, you gotta remember that Ford US brought back the 6.2 hurricane project (thats meant to dwarf both the hemi and GMs offerings in size and power) with a release date of about 2008-2009. Looks like good times ahead. a 6.2 holden vs a 6.2 ford? that would be a fair fight :bravo:
