to get full respray done properly i would say you wouldn't be looking at anything below $6000-8000

There's no easy answer. Depends on paint type used (acrylic, two pack), amount of cleaning up required (car park bumps etc), whether every bit of trim and glass are removed, paint colour, whether it needs clear coat etc etc. Some places are much cheaper than others, but you generally get much lower quality.

Thats like saying how long is a piece of string...

Your name says you have a VT clubby, so most places will charge more for doing the silver inserts on your front and rear bars.

The main factors that will change the price around are:
-Color (metalics, pearls, glitter/metal flakes etc will cost extra)
-Dints, chips (imperfections that will require attention and more work to fix)
-The shop (prices differ considerably from shop to shop)
-Amount to be sprayed (engine bay, boot, inside doors etc...)

I recently got a VX clubby bodykit put on my VT calais (so it has silver inserts like yours) Most places wanted to charge $1500 for fitting/painting... some wanted $2500+, so it really pays to shop around.
When you go to a panal shop they will asume you just want the outside painted and give you a quote. If you want other bits done you have to specifiy but expect to pay much more. (Eg: Engine bay, they have to remove the engine... inside your doors, they have to remove your door trims... inside the boot, have to remove carpeting etc...) So they will charge you for the removals plus the extra paint/materials and time involved.

I would say for a basic paint, nothing fancy, no engine bays, door trims etc... you wouldnt get much change out of $4000 (if you shop around)
But for a nice pearl or custom metalic paint maybe add $2000-3000 to that price.

The good thing about respraying your car is there are like a million panal shops in every suburb... who are all competing for business...

Call or visit like 10 or so reputable panal shops that are close to home and see what they can do for you.

Sorry for the long post (that could possibly be published as a short novel)
Hope this helps

I got my entire paint job, purple with blue and violet pearl for only $2000.

If you saw the prices of the paint its very cheap. Even the best paint is only $500 for an entire car as they buy in bulk that includes primer, base coat, pearl and clear coat etc.

So $1500 left in labour.. $50 an hour and 30 hours work theres your $2000 spent on an great paint job.

10hours to massage a few panels or dents.
10 hours to mask up, spray primer and paint the car.
10 hours to block back all the paint then cut n polish it.

Remember the doors or engine dont have to be removed if you want the door jams or engine bays painted. You just have to remove all the plastics, rubbers, airbox and hoses and mask it up and spray away. I removed these bits myself and saved $500 off the price. I also sanded the shine off all the paint so it was ready for primer knocking another $500 off.

Easy to do them parts yourself and will only take a couple days.

Then a month later after the paint had totally cured i went to work on the paint to get it even shinier. as im a detailer I cut, polished, glazed, sealed and waxed the entire car which added even more gloss to the paint. Pretty awesome!!
