I would like to say hello to the LS1 community as I am a new member to the forum, and I must say it is a privelege to be a part of the LS1 community. My pride and joy is a Sting Red VT2 Clubsport R8 build number 010, it is the first HSV I have owned, I stepped up from a 96 VS SS. I look forward to many discussion on the forum as my knowledge is limited I am basically here to learn from more qualified members.
As I do wish to learn I have a problem with my R8, I am currently unable to select any gears there has been no warning, oil leaks or noises it just wont go into any gear. Can anyone suggest what the problem might be I am at a loss.

Welcome there mate, enjoy the forum.
The car sounds like a bewdy too! I love HSVs!!!
Now, with your gear selection, can you be more specific, auto? manual?
When you say you cannot select a gear (if manual) does clutch feel dead and lifeless, or like it only really takes up near the floor? Is it when you first get into the car in the morning? or all the time? or just now? It could be clutch/slave cylinder or simply a clutch fluid bleed and refill. It could be the shifter that is stuck, or the gearbox oil may need changing. You may just need a decent 6-spd shifter....Did someone say RipShift??
Sorry 'bout the 20 questions.
Let us know a bit more and someone may be able to assist.
Regards,
Macca

I could only hope so!!!!
Nah, seriously, they are that good, how can you not pass on the good word?
Everyone who has driven my car, or shifted thru the gearbox, comment that is is great and a few have gone on to get them. The proof is in the pudding I reckon.
vxclubby - they retail at around $500 and you can get them fitted for maybe $100-150 I 'spose. I'll try and catch you at the Booran cruise and you can test it out.
Cheers,
Macca
