I live in Canberra and I'm looking to buy a car from the Geelong/Melbourne area.
I've already called the seller and I'm satisfied with his answers to my questions but would like someone to do a visual check of the vehicle and take it for a quick test drive to confirm what I've been told.
Is there a responsible member (read: over 25 years of age with a good insurance rating and a fair bit of LS1 knowledge) in the area who could do me a huge favour and check it out for me?
I would really appreciate it if someone could help.
Thanks,

It's a Red Hot 2002 Series 1 CV8 Manual, I've just sold my VT so I'm looking to purchase fairly soon.
The car sounds like it's in top condition and the seller has always had it dealer serviced for fear of voiding warranty. He sounds like an honest guy and expressed a genuine love for the vehicle.
It's pretty much stock but with a 2.5" dual exhaust, series 2 pedals, series 2 wheels, and a sony sound system.
The seller mentioned some "fine" scratches on the lower front skirt that I'd like a second opinion on. That and I'd someone to do a general look over.

G'day there mate, can you narrow it down a little? Geelong to Melbourne is about 80ks.
The suburb would assist.
Cheers,

Hi Macca,
I'm not sure of the suburb yet but vzmonaro34 has offered to have a look for me when I find out.
I'll let you know if anything goes pear shaped.
Thanks,

Why not get him to drop it into a sponsors workshop for a more qualified checkover. Id much prefer to pay a sponsor a few $$ (or beers) to check a car properly than to rely on someone you havent met from an internet forum. (no offence meant to any of the guys that offered to help)

I'm not necessarily worried about the mechanicals, I'm satisfied with the sellers ascertion that it is in good condition as it's only got about 26,000km on the clock, none of which were done on a drag strip or at the track.
I'd just like a second opinion from someone who's actually seen the car. I have faith in both the seller and my agent :driving: but if worse comes to worse and the car has a whole lot of unmentioned problems that get picked up I might do that.
Cheers,
Guys
