I have a VT2 SS M6, it has 4-1 long headers, opened up standard cats, twin 2.5 inch xforce catback system, 3.9 diff gears, mafless tune, GTS Mafpipe, Panel filter and Monaro CAI.

It makes 210rwkw on Sams dyno. What is the best next upgrade? I have about $1000 to spend?? Want to do ASAP. I want at least a Genuine 300kw at motor.

OTRCAI? CAM? Throttle body? Intake manifold??

Your help is much appreciated.

For the mods you have right there you should be making an easy 300kw at the fly. Does Sam's dyno usually read pretty low? My car with the above mods (with the exception of mine having try-y's) made 229rwkw on the PT dyno.

Have you run down the 1/4 yet? If so what mph did you get?

With $1000 you should be able to get an LS6 manifold (have a look in the for sale section, there might be one for sale) and with some change left over you could get a 25% Underdriven pully as well. Those mods with a OTRCAI got me up to 240rwkw, and a 108mph trap speed in pretty warm conditions.

Good Luck!

Chuck on a otrcai and that should pick you up a little bit better performance. Or wait to you have a bit more coin and chuck in a bump stick.

The actual cam is around $800. Then you need fitting, a Tune, depending on the cam maybe a timing chain, valvesprings, pushrods etc. Budget around $3k fitted for a cam. You can get it done cheaper at times though.

Cam is the goer, as most said. Adding in a Throttlebody would be a small benefit to go with the cam.
