rusty mags

Gday all,
I am giving the old mans hilux surf a wash, polish and wax today and he has neglected it to a point where his chrome mags have spots of rust through them. I was just wondering how you get rid of it without using a scourer lol. I have just about every meguires product there is, but the only mag stuff i have is the chrome/alloy polish which isnt going to get rid of the rust spots. Anyone got any tips or ideas? thanks.

Polish and a scouring pad. Will take along time but they will come up like new.

You'll find that Steelo "steel wool" soap pads work a treat. They are softer than a scouring pad. BTW - NOT the the thick curly stainless-steel ones :eyes:

The Meguire's "non acid mag wheel cleaner" is gold for this sort of stuff. Just spray it on, let sit for 30 seconds, then use a soft wheel brush and they should come up like new.
