Whilst cleaning up my car after a week's worth of dirt I popped the boot to empty it and then the bonnet to do the usual oil/water/fluids check.
Then I pondered why cars do not have a push button release for the bonnet like for the boot and fuel lid. It seems strange to have all of this push button gadgetry in modern cars but still have to rely on the old-skool bonnet lever and cable guff to open the lid.
Anyone got any ideas why this isnt there? Is it to do with wind resistance on the front of the car, or more with unauthorised or emergency access??
