Can anybody please help me with the seat belt alarm on the dash, as the VY SS plug doesnt connect to the originals for the VU's.. Is there a fuse that i can disconnect for them?

Brett,
Are the VY (Look like SII) out of a ute or sedan? - Reason I ask is that the sedans have SIAB but Ute dont. If it has SIAB then the loose yellow cable could be them, otherwise its the pretensioner, which is loose and giving you the chime, as utes dont chime when you dont put your seat belt on...farmers complaints i spose.
>>>>
EDIT
>>>>
Just checked mine, VY SII Ute, Pretensioner cable = black. The fact that the VU (from memory) doesnt have power to allow you to height adjust, shouldnt cause a chime on the dash. Thus, if your cable is yellow I will assume they are out of a sedan with SIAB, this still wont cause the chime. If your pretensioner is not plugged in or if the ignition was started before hand this could cause the chime, still need to see your dealer to reset with Tech II.

Additional info...
If you have seats out of a sedan with SIAB - there is an element of danger as static electricity can cause it to go off. AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE TRY TO POWER THIS PLUG UP.
I can only imagine the chime is being caused by either the pretensioner (black cable running to base of buckle) not plugged in or if you turned the ignition on before plugging it in. Regardless it needs to be reset with a tech II at a dealer.

Thanks for all that info mate, much appreciated...
Yeh the Yellow power cable wont match the plug for the VY SS Seats as they were out of a series 2 ute... the chime is only on for a short period of time until i start the engine, but the seat belt alarm light is on in the dash until i turn it off... i might take it to holden and get them to check it out
Thanks once again

haha its all pretty much for shows etc... It does crank pretty loud can only have it on about volume 8 and goes to 35... Its not really setup for very loud quality as it needs to be tuned often... My wheels are pretty different cant really reveal the make/design but they are 20s

Just went into the task of thinking it would all slip on pretty much as it came etc gearknob wise... I had to drill/bore out the inside plastic until it was on the metal to get it to slide onto the stick properly... File the gearstick down as i have a ripshift so i couldnt just change the sticks over.. Cut about 1/2in off the shaft so its smaller and looks way better and i filed down the little lip on the stick to to allow it to slide down a bit further..
Just unpicked the staples that held the leather in the VU bootcase, and even thou its a different shape i managed to staple it pretty damn clean as you can tell... all i have to do now is put some glue or something in to tighten the stick up as it has a slight bit of movement in it..
Apart from that it was an awsum out come

Love your ute brett, Can't wait to see her back on the road. I might have tuesday off aswell so i'll come for the treck to Brendale. might even let the boys at pt. maybe even get the guys there to look at my ute to see if they did do the tune, doubt they did though.
