I was just wondering which cams you all think are the best all rounders for the mighty ls1 motor...
along side the cams i'd say should be the basic, CAI, 3.9's, zorst, tune. once done what kinda power output would you be excpecting, and again, which cams????? and last but definatley not least, how much

depends what you want, and how much driveability and fuel economy you want to sacrifice.
Comp cams are the choice for ls1's, they offer the most customisation. My advice would be to drop into a Sydney workshop you trust and discuss it with them, exactly what you want. Any decent shop can get custom comp cams ground and sent over, or they can use an off the shelf if thats the best way to go.
For driveability, id suggest a low to mid 220's duration, as high a lift as you can go without flycutting pistons, and a 112-114 LSA. LS1's love lift, it really frees up torque.
But again, a good workshop will know how to give you what you want a lot better than I will, so drop in to Sonny etc and have a chat.

haha, no, im saying if mine doesnt have one then i'll get one, i wanna bump up the hp in it without going too beserk, so i was thinking cams, then manifold if its not sufficient, then start other things

Firstly ask urself wat you want from the car ? if ur chasing dyno numbers ur going bout it the wrong way...a nice custom cam / diff gears / otr cai / good exhaust system and a mafless tune will transform the car totally
:)
