Yes i know a guy who does them for the normal hard lids opens and closes takes about 20seconds to fully open and close nice option if your lazy i have his number if anyone interested in sydney.

I like that idea, with being able to lock it along with the central locking..
Oh and a light underneath.. would be handy :)

I have a light on mine and i hooked up a trigger switch underneath the hard cover. You just run a single wire from the trigger switch on your door and buy another switch from holden and mount it underneath the hard cover with a bracket and it just works through the original alarm system that is already on the car. As for the light i didnt wire it the auto elec did but i havent got a 12volt plug or anything its just a little 2 pin connector so theres no need to drill holes.
