Does anybody know if there is a distributor for the Otr's that some of the other members have been fitting (with the BMC airflow decal) in Brisbane. Also opinions on whether they are the best on the market for the bucks.Feedback much appreciated. Thanks. Keith.

Give forum sponsor PowerTorque a call.

They make the original version of the ones that you have seen with the BMC stickers, but in tough plastic, rather than fibreglass...

PT are only supplying to their customers (who get tunes etc) atm due to low supplies. If thats not a good enough excuse for an edit and become a customer i dont know what is.

It is a shame that only limited people are able to purchase these PT otrcai as they are good gear.

Has PT ever looked at increasing the volume?

Personally, I would prefer a moulded plastic one, but, sadly, I may have to go fibreglass, from another source.

Also, I don't think that others should feel embarrassed about putting a non-genuine PT type one on their car, if that is all they can get.

I know some have canned blokes on the forum for doing this, but if supply cannot satisfy demand, then other alternatives will be sought.

Cheers,

Macca

The problem was always supply and the costs involved. I know they have been looking at getting a new supplier/manufacturer for a while. Each one has to be hand finished and it takes a few hours. With the amount of mechanical work they have, the OTRCAI became a lower priority. I was told that they were only suppling their own customers but thats not gospel, best to talk to them direct and talk to shaun.

You should ask the people in the other threads where they got theirs by private message, where not supposed to promote non sponsor sales here :bounce:

PT is a sponsor so no probs promoting them. Not many company's are supporting the fakes that are around. Plus being fiberglass seem to break a lot easier.

I get all my work and servicing done at PT.
Id be embarassed to line someone elses pockets for an inferior copy of someones research and development.

There are alternatives! I made a homemade OTR rather than cough up 300 bucks to these "others"! :flipoff:

some people dont care for a weekend with the fiberglass and moulds making their own, as for inferior where your proof, how many have you sold? and how many fiberglass ones have you had returned due to failure?

Seeing as though you have been selling these rip-offs, don't try and talk up these products and use PMs for sales. Not really ethical is it....... Oh wait........ thats right.........

Its not the first time someone has jumped on the coat tails of companies that do the hard yards and rip off their products. The copies are always inferiour regardless of how much you want to talk them up.

Im not talking them up, your talking them down im just asking if you have any proof as to their inferiority? I dont have any proof myself one way or the other as i have never had one returned... Maybe I should stop selling them as their going to all come back to me one day all busted up....just incase anyone cares I dont run any form of OTRCAI as I dont think they work.

But if people want them they can have them and pay what ever they want, I just dont beleive that all the guys that paid $600 for theirs can knock a fake as being worse with no proof to back it up, other than they paid double the price so it must be better .

Even guys making $10 home made ones from bunnings are claiming theres are better in some way, seems theres more to the story hey?

P.S since these copies are so bad the original designer/manufacturer should consider takeing legal action against the people making copies, which of course doesnt concern me a whole lot as im just passing em along at cost to help out those not made of money or in a hurry to get them.

Anyways I have shit stirred enough ill let this thread run its course without any further input as its obviously about to turn into a my dicks bigger than your dick contest, I get bored when people start talking about things they cant back up so i stop whilst im ahead, and avoid the bitching.

well said mate, i agree, your entitled to do wat you like.... I guess your one of the more open minded people who wont loose any sleep over this thread.

In saying that, for the rest of the readers/haters, ill prob end up at PT for my mods (when/if ever) So i am not just trying to back up Nutter or his product.

Cheers

Why would the original designer bother wasting money on legal action if these copies are as bad as you are saying......

Do you see watch manufacturers taking legal action against $20 rip offs of their watches..... No, because they're cheap crap......
