VX Calais Trip Computer Won't Reset

Hey,
Got a small problem but I may be just doing something stupid.
I've followed the steps in the manual to reset the trip computer on my VX Calais but it won't reset. Turn the car on, press mode once, hold both the UP + down buttons but it doesn't reset.
Am I doing something wrong?

when u press mode, is the short trip thing selected, i thought you had to select that first then press both buttons.

hey, i had this prob when i first got mine cause i had never used it before, hit the mode button untill your trip distance is displayed then push both up and down arrows together quickly, don't hold them in just a quick push together like your turning the volume up on the steering wheel controls.....i sat at the servo for ages like a :fewl: untill my mate with a clubby showed me what i was doing wrong

Just went out there and tried what you said and it worked :)
I feel like such a fool :doh:
