Hello everyone
this is my first post. Ide like to congratulate you all on a fantastic forum.... hours and hours of quality reading.

Firstly, my kids have now left home and ide like to get some power out of my VX SS

at the moment i only have pacemaker 4-1 extractors and a sureflo 3.5" exhaust (Which may i say sounds brilliant)

Im just wondering. Ive fabricated my own OTRCAI out of aluminium and a little bit of skill with a Mig.
its not the usual OTRCAI, rather an airbox that sits around the throttle body, sealing it from the engine bay. I have cut a hole directly above the throttle body and the "airbox" is sealed around the bonnet with foam.

The hole in the bonnet has had mesh inserted (Actually looks quite nice)

Im looking at getting a PCM mail order maffless edit. (as im in Port hedland in WA)

My question is, should have i just bought a OTRCAI, or will this idea produce higher figures? The throttle body is pretty much directly in contact with the outside of the car. I believe there is a gold VY SS ute in NSW with a similar setup.

Also how good are the Chipmaster mail order tunes, and what kind of RWKW figures can i expect with the setup..

thanking you
raymon

Bit hard to say how your CAI works without pic's.

Chipmaster would be one of the best places to get an edit done, you cant go wrong with dan.

Chipmaster is the most well known LS1 tuner in WA and one of the better ones in Australia! Lots of happy customer out of Dans workshop!

His work speaks for itself and "Home of the Worlds Quickest and Fastest Monaro" Says it all really.
