Was driving home from work tonight when a new Corvette drove past me down at Southbank, in Melbourne. Didn't get a chance to see much of it but man did it look sweet. Nice Fat tyres and real low. Didn't see the front so i couldn't tell if it was the Z06 or not.

By the time i got to the Eastern freeway i had caught up to him and was sitting behind him ffor quite a while. I probably wouldn't have bothered sharing this on the forum, that is until i saw the number plate. It was a UAM... (cant remember the numbers, maybe 536) number plate like all of the VE mules that are running around.

So I'm guessing this is a Holden engineering car of sorts. It was still left hand drive and had stickers on the window saying so. Has anyone heard of new plans to import/convert them? I know HSV considered doing this with the last model.

Any ideas?

C5 is the last model. Maybe it was a C6?

i remember reading something on HSV testing it for compliance, and they lost interest when the bills added up to something like $175,000 a car! Word from Mr Lutz is that the next one will be made in "factory" right hand drive.
Might be an American test car, not us testing it....
