I would if my car could sustain the fuel and it didnt effect my warranty:p . I have a Astra TS SRI and I believe that the Opel based cars are dead against any ethanol input. The carguide.com.au raises some interesting points.
Does anyone know whether or not the latest batch off Holden's new cars Captiva, Commodore VE will be able to run on Ethanol?:hmmm:

The Brazilians run their cars on 100% ethanol because it makes better power.
And it means they're not dependant on the oil barons.

I dare say the next batch of commodores will run fine on it. Theres a sticker on the inside of my fuel lid (06 VZ SS) saying its ethanol safe. Havent tried any yet though.....
Edit: 85% ethanol.....maybe i wouldnt! 10% ethanol id be fine with running (have run it in my old VS SS) but 85% is just a bit much IMO

Its interesting that there is no real hard rock evidence that ethanol will wreck your engine. I remember a few years back the Qld goverment getting p!ss off cause the oil companys were giving it a bagging from the get go.
Toluene would do more dammage than ethanol.
the base line is oil companies dont want us using Flexible fuels.
but check this link out

Ahh..so E85 = 85% ethanol?
I'm in the US at the moment and they're mentioning E85 everywhere. I assumed (given how shitty US fuel is) that it was 85RON.
Saw an ad for a car that was "e85 safe"...can't remember what it was though. Some sort of Chev I think, not an Impala.
06 VZ SS
Mate! When did that happen? Congrats! Still got the VS?
Cheers,
