Butanol instead of ethanol...?

Anyone else know about this? I only know what I read on the above site, and figured some of the folk here might know something about it.

we use butanol at my work as a thinner to reduce the viscosity of the paint we apply to our mould equipment (glass industry). not to sure about using it in the car though!!
