It would be nice to see Todd win in Darwin for 3 in a row ,but even better to see Skaife to break Brocky's round wins record either way a win for ANY of the Holden teams will be good news.

get to know them both and you'll soon find they are both good blokes with huge respect for each other

once again not talking about their respect for each other. i have spoken to them both, all be it briefly but i have found brock to be the much more approachable person. always willing to do the hard yards for his fans, nothing is too much trouble for him.

Brock is more approachable true, Skaife has been more focused on the racing / business side than the "fan" side even he acknowledges that but the reality for Skaife is that he has carried Holdens hopes for the last 6 years , and when he is not firing then it becomes a Ford fest ..... my sense is that when he starts to head towards the sunset he will relax a bit more than he has ......

Both are champions in their own right - you don't win that many races by luck..

Unfortunately, they come from different era's and Mr. M. Skaife has had a whole lot more pressure on him (and his team) to Perform than Mr Brock had..

If Skaife does break it - then he would have deserved it..

Anyway - any reports coming from Darwin as to who is showing any early form in Practice??

With the Rosary Beads in the Right Hand vh-holden, what may I ask do you have the fingers of your left hand wrapped around?

And do you have an orderly line before you when offering blessings?

And most importantly, it is expected that there will be no prayers offered by you for the "Blue Oval Mob"

Have an enjoyable and safe weekend

i'm not catholic, so none of that made sense!! :p

prayers go out for everyone, at once, so no queueing up. also pray on request, but always for people and safety, not cars and winning.

the weekend went very well. i'm still apprenticing when it comes to chaplaincy, so was learning from our local chaplain, as well as garry coleman, who started the motorport chaplaincy in australia 20+ years ago. he does the speedway in sydney and most of the v8 races. i had a bit of a baptism by fire on the weekend. i spent a couple of hours at the hospital with an official and her husband who were from out of town. that's what i'm doing it for though, to help people out and be there when they need someone.

Cant comment on the views but Hidden Valley is one of those "follow the leader" tracks that unless someone has a mechanical problem the top half dozen cars are really not going to change much at all and its more likely that the passing will occur based on pit stop rather than racing :(

Take a look at the starting grids and you'll see what i mean - race 1: out of the top 6 the only change was Bright with a puncture , Skaiffe.Kelly.Winterbottom.Lowndes. in order with NO passing , Tander went from 3rd on the grid to finish 5th. .... forget race 2 typical reverse grid nonsense , look at the starting grid for race 3 and the only passing change was Jason Richards with Skaiffe also getting into the finishing 6 early, the other positions changed in the pits. All of the teams know that a huge part of winning in Darwin is getting into the front 2 rows of the grid , starting well, and pit strategy. Its one of those trackes that being at the track is fine, to watch on TV is dead boring.
