If I were to buy either of the two for performance and looks, which would be the way to go?

Would a HSV VT (Series 2) Clubsport 5.7L 250kw beat say a VX SS or VY SS commodore in a straight line drag?

Also, how much faster is the VT GEN III Clubsport compared to the 5.0L VT Clubsport?

And finally, would a enthusiast prefer to get a 6SPD Manual V8 or 4SPD Auto?

Thanks Fellas

There would be nothing in it in a straight line between VX/VY SS and VT Clubbie. Would come down to driver skill. You wouldn't buy any of these based on performance over the other as they're all basically the same with a few mods they'll pump out 300 fwkw. Personally out of those a VY SS would be the better buy.

Gen III should be a lot faster than a 5.0 VT Clubbie, especially once you get a tune.

If you want the quickest possible car in a staight line the auto seems to be the way to go, but you need it calibrated by a tuner to get the most out of it.

SS Commodore with M6... Auto will break your neck and is sooo boring do drive.

... If ya want my tip, go giv'em all a punt and see which one you fancy

My pick would be a VY SS M6 without question. The others are not even comparable.
