drilling into floor just in front of drivers seat...??

Just some quick advise, i wanna install my rechargeable maglight into my car just in front of the drivers seat, is it alright to screw the bracket into the floor, is there anything that will get damaged when i screw it into the floor....???

i wouldnt be drilling into the floor, why dont you just mount it on the side of the console some how?

it's a bit bulky, i'm trying to limit any damage, if in decide to remove it one day....

make up a small panel that attaches to under the seat rail bolts.. undo the bolts, put said panel in, do up bolts again and screw into that..
