Has anyone got any tips for cleaning the speaker grilles in the doors on a VY
Ute and Sedan I guess.
Reason I ask is that I have managed to get them really dirty somehow, perhaps by rubbing them with my shoes on the way in and out. (Before I am admonished by someone this is my work truck OK?) :p
I have cleaned them best I can but seems the dirt is on the inside of the holes if that makes any sense.
Didn't want to put water on them if I can help it but if necessary I will.
BTW not looking to remove door trim unless i absolutely have to!
Cheers.

Just a thought but try compressed air maybe? try and blast it out. that would be my first option

I would think blowing dirt at your speakers would pepper them with holes?!
Take the trims off, it is easy and takes minutes only.

maybe an old toothbrush and a tiny bit of water would do the trick - been meaning to do this to mine when I find time...

Detailer friend of mine uses a "2.5cm x 1.5 - 2cm approx paintbrush and uses it in 'poking''(like playing darts) motion and this generally releases any dry grit. Or if available try and aircompressor (take the door skin off first and do from back) with paintbrush. A sot to medium toothbrush again used from the back in the same motion to dislodge.

Just for the record, this is what ended up working for me. Compressed air didn't move it much, probably because I had left it too long!
Toothbrush treatment took next to no time and as good as new.
Thanks to all for suggestions
a wipe over with a damp chamis always brings mine up a treat.
