HI guys have a query that has been asked b4 but not fully answered. i'm getting new rims so would like to put my ss rims on my wifes vu. now i've read that the vu has a slightly smaller hub. is this true or not as i have seen a lot of vu/vx with vy ss rims.my drama is that i've also read that the weight will bear on the 5 bolts not the hub. so if any one can explain and/or give me a will or won't fit that would be great.
thanks, LOZ:confused:

They'll fit fine, as far as I know Holdens are all the same since VB....

*Edit - Commodores I should say

Aftermarket wheels quite often have a larger centre hole, so the wheels can fit a large range of different makes. This really is not a safe thing to do, as it puts the load on to the five studs, NOT the centre spigot of the hub. VY SS wheels will match the diameter of the VU centre spigot no worries.

True, however, the earlier ones (up to VP) which have servicable wheel bearings need to change the bearing cap to fit the little cap on some GMH rims. I know this is not relavent to the topic but interesting none the less.
