Anyone know how many km a stock VZ exhaust system is good for?

Minister of Finance says a performance system will be an option when the existing one needs replacing..:bounce:

Car is now 15 months old (got it as a run out) and has 46,000km on it so I'm hoping it won't last long :p

It depends upon how long stainless will last in the UAE I 'spose, as I believe that all oem systems are now stainless!

You may be better 'hitting a speed hump' (figuratively, of course) or something of that nature to ensure that you are able to put on a replacement exhaust.

Cheers,

Macca

Being stainless steel it will probably outlast the car ! ! !
Your only chance may be to "accidently" scrape it over a few speed humps?
Good luck.

Is the minister for finance responsible for earning it?

If not remind her that you have control of both sides of the senate and that her okay is preferred but not essential :love2:

LMAO, great call.

How about u just say it had problems and needed an overhaul so you took it down straight away to avoid detonation. Then Throw other fancy words around like, Knocksensors, MAF, Opened Cats, edit, and headlight fluid. That should baffle the minster enough.

That works until she demonstrates her ballance of power by closing Chambers until further notice leaving you sitting in the back bench handling your affairs by yourself.:errr:

Want metal cats as well?

Get the OEM cats hot, get underneath and give 'em a few bangs with a hammer. The guts will collapse and rattle around inside the housing. Definitely need a new exhaust system then 'cause this one rattles too much!

I used to work at Walker Exhausts making OEM systems for Ford and Holden back in 95 - 96 here in Adelaide.

From what I was told then... they are guaranteed to last the life of the factory warranty.

Bring on the speed bumps I'd say fella.

Cheers

knock a few holes in it with a nail - then casually mention the sound is like a hole in the muffler
