Flat battery can I ..

I have a DT230 and it has a flat battery and no kick start. Would i damage anything if I connected the battery to my car battery and jump started it? I wouldn't have the car running would just connect to the battery.

yep no problems there, but the charging system leaves alot to be desired on these bikes, i would charge the battery or replace it.

i know with my old cbr900 and trx400 i could jump of my car as they were 12v just have alook at your owners manual and make sure it is 12v first tho im pretty sure it would be but .

90% of the time those batts die from sitting around or vibration...

$70 get a new 1... I have a couple of quads and they do this on a regular basis....

Thanks for the replies. Bike has been sitting for 7 months due to rider error. I came a cropper and had some breakages!
I live in the middle of nowhere and have been quoted $150.00 for the battery thats why i was going to try other options. Might be time to try and buy one online somewhere.

Try Ebay champ.
Super start batterys sell on there at way cheaper than retail.
Oh and bugger me for $150 it would want to be a Yusa for that!
