Hey guys, can someone confirm this for me, i have clear fluid leaking out of my bell housing, guessing its the clutch slave cylinder fkd, also my gearbox crunches if i dont match revs perfectly, im thinking that my slave cylinder is fkd and not engaging the clutch properly, also if i give clutch a hard time feels real weird for next few changes. cheers. also is this common and what is it that goes on them.

so any help with the gearbox/clutch problem, what yas think it is?? im dont really care that its leaking i just think that its part of the problem, the guy i bought the car off put in a new clutch just before i bought it, guessing he fkd it up.

is the nipple nice and tight, and could be leaking a little( is the clutch pick up point the same or is it changing when the clutch is pumped. put the car on ramps get under it and a 10mm long reach socket on the nipple and just check it, and the clutch lines on the outside, for leakage.

yer the clutch nipple is tight, havent checked the lines, but will have to do that, but its weird the fluid is leaking but the level of the resivour isnt going down, what colour is the gearbox oil, however i doubt it is this as the oil leaking doesnt smell and it is clear. is the slave a problem normally?

yer mate, fluid still sitting on my driveway from weeks ago and its oily, and ive had it on a hoist and it is leaking out the bellhousing. so is this a common thing for slave?

well clutch was still fkd untill a couple of weeks ago, and i did a lil bit of a dump and then went for 2nd and well, no clutch at all, dumped all the fluid on the road,
I pulled the gearbox out on the w/e, 7,000kms ago the previous owner put in new clutch plate, apon pulling box out, finger tight tailshaft bolts, exhaust not mounted properly and hitting tailshaft to diff rubber, finger tight gearbox sump bolt, anyway, once gearbox out, realised where leak was, slave cylinder has cracked apart right around the centre shaft to main face part,
anyway took box apart and forget the name but whatever holds in 4th gear was on the magnet at bottom of box, and yer still yet to strip rest of it to see why reverse is not staying in.
also the centre shaft seems to have rather large play in it, which is confirmed by the clutch plate wearing on the edges from hitting clutch outer due to play, so yer the previous owner really ballsed up.
so this happend to anyone before, and does anyone know ehy it has happend?
where can i get hold of a slave and how much are they?
any ideas on what would be stuffing reverse up? most likely same as 4th or is it a defference set up.
i have a extreme cushioned button going in when it goes bak together so looking foward to that.

the genuine slave from holden is around $250, you might as well change the clutch while you are there as it probally stuffed due to the clutch fluid leaking onto it.

yer i already have a new extreme single plate button clutch to go in, so the slave cracking in half hasnt happend to anyone else, will try get some pics up.
looking foward to getting the box sorted so that i can slap it back in and roast some tyres.
can anyone recomend a good box oil?? for now im thinking redline light weight shockproof.
